I have recently become a member of this forum. I do not know if I am the youngest member or not but I am 17.

My personal interests range from Isotta Fraschini autos, monarchies to vintage German cameras & sartorial matters, notwithstanding haute couture.

I loathe the casualization & general tawdry nature of modern aesthetics. God knows those hideous cars they make nowadays are a direct correlation to the people who drive them, and their attire.

Presently I have yet to attend a white-tie event, however I will look forward to that moment. Picture hats accessorized with day gloves should also be worn more often by ladies.

If one were to look at Marlene Dietrich, et al they were always remarkably turned out.

WHOA!!!! I never in my wildest dreams would have thought that there could be in these times somebody as young as you who would feel the way I did about the state of dress, grooming, and style today! Maybe there is a faint glimmer of hope for this world. The way I once put it to somebody was that things today are efficient but inelegant. (Sigh.)

Welcome, Incroyable. You're in the right place! I think you'll like it here. I sure do! By the way, I'm 23 years old, and I got my start in 1930s and 1940s style when I was 20-and-a-half years old.
