goes to the government in taxes, talk about excess profits! I heard one statistic that stated the actual price of gas without the government's share
would be about $1.80.

They post it in some gas stations. All you have to do is look for it. The government actually has a stake in keeping the price high because higher prices=higher taxes. :eusa_doh:

I work for 'Mean Old Big Oil', and my stocks are diversified, my kids are going to have trust funds and maybe never have to work for a living. You guys are way too uptight. Relax a little, the world goes on. Have a cocktail and a smoke to calm your nerves.

I think it's odd when someone implies that not working for a living is desirable.

I don't smoke or drink, so I personally am "uptight" in that sense, yes, however my nerves are very calm. Try some clean living and you won't have to self-medicate.
