AMF Harley Davidson Jackets: Brooks?

I wanted to tap in to the great tree of knowledge for an answer to this: who made the AMF-era Harley jackets? A lot of them - the CHP/W styles - look like the equivalent Brooks: thin-looking shiny leather, distinctive ring-pulls. Others (I’m interested in the double riders) look different, especially the earlier ones. Does anyone have an opinion?

AFAIK, cross zips and cafe racers were made by Brooks. Some, I mean. Do you have a photo of a specific jacket(s) you have in mind?

This model looks quite like the Brooks ‘j27’ but a bit more... solid?

This one looks much more like a Buco than a Brooks. The leather is more in line with Buco, heavier.

Also a Brooks, but appears to be much lighter leather and more in keeping with the Brooks jackets.

I was actually going to buy that top jacket, but I was holding out for something else (which I also missed). Leather really looked Buco-esque. Some of the AMF ‘police’ jackets come without that super-stiff tail-piece - those ones look like they might be Buco or someone other than Brooks.

Brooks early work was making jackets for Buco.

Using Buco’s preferred leather? So they must have used some of that in their own jackets?

All we can do is speculate in the absence of direct evidence. But generally when a product is made under contract all materials are specified.
