Doesn't anyone else find it super-ironic that the Japanese fetishise WW2 American military wear?

My apology. What I mean is they do not design their own clothing because they only make repros. Despite the fact that they perhaps have a wider range of repros than western makers, not all the items are that popular and were done in only very small batch . My friends and I were discussing why the price of the Deck Zip is higher the N-1 despite the fact that the N-1 has alpaca and the deck zip only has wool blanket lining. I suggest that one of the reasons why the price is so high- lack of economies of scale. RM sells tons of N-1s but not the Deck Zip.I don't for a minute think it's lack of design talent... they simply have a market for cold war/ non-WW2 repros that doesn't exist in the same way here. If the b15d was fetishised like the A2 here, there'd soon be half a dozen labels vhurning out proper repros.

Given all the RMC talk, I donned my Oklahoma this evening.
Very nice indeed. My friend has been eyeing the Oklahoma for a while. Well, that's one of his objectives when we go to Tokyo for our shopping trip in Jan. I however prefer my Rainbow Country single rider. The only RM leather jacket that I own is the M-422A that is no longer in production.
I didn't realise it was just four, very serious-looking, guys who make all the stuff.
Real McCoys. That's what the guy in the shop told me anyway!
