Here is that granite hat I was referring to...... #44-P
Blocked with an open crown 5 5/8", it is a size 7 1/2 or 23 3/4" cut, it has a center dent in it right now.
Brim is 2 3/4" bound. It has a slight rake to it with the front @ 4 3/8" and the back @ 4 1/2".
15/16" vintage 40's grosgrain.
This is a dress weight, 100% beaver, Granite.
pay close attention to the seem and "closed loop" on the bound edge.....it's nearly perfect. This is no easy to do, by any means. He also does his pouncing all by hand, no machines for that. He is letting this one go for $250 + shipping to whomever would like it.
Like I stated above, he is looking for a name for this one and is asking for your help with that. Thanks for looking.
