With all the discussion going on around this forum on the modern trend to dress down I thought the lyrics to a song I wrote several years ago might bring some smiles.

All Dressed Up

Now my daughter comes down looking clean and pressed

But I send her back until she looks her best

So you better go right back and put something on over that slip thing you're wearing. I don't care what the lady at the store called it. You just 'slip' into something else!)

You know I can hear the melody in the back of that one while I read it. Sounds kind of country. Can't be with that neighbor though.

The song is kind of a folky/country blues, so you're right in there saying that it seemed country to you.
