Sharp fit indeed! Is it me or have there been some really well fitting jackets on here of late?

Worf, I am imagining you took your own measurements or did you have a tailor do it?

Thanks for the love. Just wanted to show what the company did for me. I appreciate the kind words. I felt it best to just leave it here in their house thread. I've a B2 woolie that will adorn my head soon, Particularly as the days get shorter. Be ready to man the waist gun on that B-17 then. I think it fits well... I got measured by the nice little old Italian lady that does all my patches and repairs, despite the language barrier we managed to get me measured. Wore it to work yesterday... glad I did too. Again... thanks...

Worf

PS It fits well, I can drive, walk and do all manner of things without feeling I'm gonna bust out of it. I too think they nailed the fit.

Wow Worf, what a cracker! AL have nailed the fit completely, it's absolutely perfect. Beautiful colour and fleece as well. What with your Irvin as well, you're all set for what NY is going to throw at you weatherwise this coming winter.

Looks great Dave. Congratulations. Only critique: you need to find a matching skull cap. ;) :D

Brown Rothco was the best I could do at the time brother Fanch! :whistling LOL! And Foster you lucky Dog! One of the Memphis Belles was here before it got to your sunny climes but the weather was dreadful, I'll try and catch her next year when she returns. And to all the rest a hearty thanks for the compliments.

Well, if you ever find your wife (or girlfriend / significant other) talking you into taking the B-17 flight, do like I did and don't argue! :D
And sorry guys, she doesn't have a sister...

My first Alexander Leathers Jacket. Over a year I tried to find someone that could make me a "Redskin" D1 or B6 in my size... 52. No one could or would do it. Finally, in a little desperation, I contacted AL, they said they could and would. Here's the results.

Reinforced with "Dark Mongolian" Horsehide. I'd like to nap to curl down but I'm NOT going to soak it to get it. I'm quite happy with the jacket. I wish they made a B6.

You have the nail on the head mate. What a ball tearer...how thick is the wool?..that looks great...

That looks superb Worf, congrats!
My crystal ball is starting to suggest that something shearling ought to be in my future, next winter perhaps.

Wow ! Fantastic jacket, Worf - and the fit is bang-on ! AL nailed it. Very nice ... the photos speak for themselves, really.

And I have to say, I really like the watch cap. I have two ELC B-2 caps (seal and redskin) which I adore, but I feel they can be a bit matchy-matchy if worn with the B-6 ... so a good wool watch cap tones the look down a tad IMHO. If I wear the B-2s with my B-6 or B-3, I know I can expect a comment on the lines of "You know the war's over, Hon'?" :)
Hence I don't wear them in daylight - only on the pre-dawn dog walks in the woods.

I'm glad you're happy - as you ought to be. The fleece will darken nicely with age and settle down with the elements, and it'll look even better after a couple of Winters on it - can you please remember to re-post more images in the future so we can see how it looks in future ...? Thx!
Nice one, Worf.

Interesting - do you think that's specific to North America? I've had the Biggles comments over here on occasions when I've stepped out in the Irvin or B3, but it's the jackets that draw that irrespective of what headgear I don. I suppose thinking about it it could be the equivalent of me wearing an Irvin with a leather flying helmet... (I'd love one of the Eastman B5 repros, but I can't imagine ever having the occasion to wear it out...).

Actually Edward, I think it's more specific to our house and my girlfriend who also lives there ...!

But that being said, I used to get all the usual comments too if I wore my Irvin to the pub ("Did you manage to park your Spitfire around the back, mate? Hur Hur..." So original) and so I'm just mindful of inviting any more of that tosh out here ... But no, it's not as bad out here in my experience. Anything goes in this crazy city. Last Winter, I was on the subway and a bloke walked proudly past me in a black and white suit made of cotton flannel PYJAMA MATERIAL and holding a brief case ... (?!?!) so who's anyone to judge me, really?!
