Listing this wonderful and very nearly new Alexander Leathers/Simmons Bilt Leather jacket on ebay. Men's size 44 (very snug fit, more like a 42) and sizes, details and dimensions are listed in the ebay add. Bison Leather is thick and has tons of grain and character right out of the box! Very similar to an Aero Leathers Bootlegger except for a much more detailed back. Has offset zipper in front and half-belt type back. Very nice and ready for true break-in!

Hello Dan_t I believe it's around 7 lbs. I'll see if I can step on a scale with it at the YMCA later today and find out for sure.

Wow, 27" not quite long enough? I've seen some even longer than that, keep looking, you'll find a good one..

As indicated on March 26th 2016....
Jacket Sold today, thanks for all the views and comments!
:)

That said, I had completely forgotten about this jacket, from ~ 9 years ago. I really like the design and even the Bison leather, which, in honesty I found a little "different" to wear. It's a leather that didn't really seem like it was going to change. However, it looked so nice, along with the lining, that I wish I would have kept it. Good reminder - think twice - or more before you let these go. Will your future self-miss it?

I am looking at a jacket similar to yours, the back is not as nice as your and the color is different. Seller claims is bison. To me it looks like pigmented leather? Difficult to say from the picture. Do you remember by any chance this model?

Ask for more close up pictures maybe you can identify the leather?

The only way to ID leather(veg, pigmented, semi aniline, aniline etc) is with the hand held microscope. Which I have. To figure out from what animal the leather it's difficult unless you cam see cross section. Or you are a leather expert. I have over 100 types of sample leather and your mind blows away in how many configurations come. Fakes are almost impossible for an amateur to ID.
I am sure that Alexander (S.BILT now) used good quality leather. It is more curiosity to me.
