If permissable, I am relisting these hats; I was unable to edit my original post to reflect the lowered price. For sale are 4 like-new Akubras, barely worn, all size 61. The plastic caps have been neatly cut out of the liners; there is no factory liner in the Kokoda. All prices include ground UPS shipping in the lower 48.

A Lightning Ridge (Heritage felt) $100

Got the Kiandra today, Picker. What a great hat. I may stop rolling my eyes at all the Akubra chatter after wearing this one for a few decades. Thanks!

kyboots,
The plastic crown of the liner was cut out. That does not leave a hole in the liner, as Akubra chooses to simply add the plastic in the crown area over the satin lining. The Angler is still available and can be yours for the rediculously low price advertised above. These are/were all my personal hats, bought during moments of impulse buying...we all know the story. Thanks for looking.

Kokoda arrived.
It is great.
Looked like it had just come from the factory.
I appreciate the inclusion of the sizer strips, 'cuz 61 is a size large for me. They worked like a charm.
It makes a terrific safari-style hat. I'm actually tempted to sacrifice a leopard for a hat band.
I think the people at the zoo would understand ... it's for a good cause!
I deepened the side dents, ala the style worn by Michael Doughlas in The Ghost and the Darkness. It looks great.
I am seriously thinking about wearing a howdah pistol with it, as the perfect accessory.
Surely no one would mind!

Thanks, Picker.

These hats need to go; I have an AB Henry on the way. Thanksgiving and Christmas sale: take $10 off the prices in the original post.
The Lightning Ridge will go for $90 shipped; that's about half price, folks.
The Angler and Coolabah go for $65 each, shipped. All hats are like new. Check out the comments above from satisfied buyers. They are boxed and ready to go. Contact me for more savings for a combination deal.

Is a 61 too large if my head measures 23 1/3 inches or a size 7 1/2? I'm very interested in the Angler.
My head actually measure 23 1/2, so I am a 7 1/2 or 60; however, that size seems tight to me, so I always buy a 61 or 7 5/8. In all honesty, the Angler, which I can wear without sizing tape, may be a bit large for you at 23 1/3, but if 23 1/3 is also considered 7 1/2, it might work for you with sizing tape/pads under the sweat.

Update: The Angler is still available with the Lightning Ridge and the Coolabah. Also up for sale now are an Akubra Federation in dark brown (61) and an Akubra Campdraft in silverbelly, Deluxe, Heritage felt edition (61). Both were bought this year and have been worn very little. The plastic caps have been neatly removed from the liners of both, but the liners have never been removed. Photo links will be added shortly. The Federation will go for $100, and the Heritage Campdraft for $150 shipped to the lower 48. I just bought an AB Henry and am considering another Penman hat of some sort, so some hats have to go. If I don't wear 'em, I don't keep 'em.
I don't do paypal, and best contact is adenny@numail.org.

The Federation IV is on hold for a member and the Angler is available again. Give yourself a deserved and appropriate Christmas gift here with one or more of these beautiful Akubras at a heck of a deal price-wise.

I boxed the Campdraft today and found my original receipt and realized I'm asking nearly what I paid for it. So, the new Christmas sale Campdraft Deluxe price is $130 shipped to the lower 48.
The Federation is sold and gone.

I would just like to, for what it's worth, put in a plug for these hats.

I have bought two of Picker's hats so far ... the Kokoda and the Fed IV ... these hats are just like brand new, folks.
They come expertly packed in good boxes and this is a guy who takes good care of his hats.

I'm not going to say which it is, but there's still one I'll be snatching up if the Christmas bonus news is good.

Thanks for the lids, Picker.

The only hats left are the Angler and the Coolabah, $65 each, shipped to the lower 48. Get 'em while they're hot...hat...hats. Ho, ho, ho.

The Campdraft deluxe arrived today. This hat appears brand new, as if it had never been worn. We’ve had a very unusual occurrence today it's raining. As this is my first Akubra, I'm looking forward to wearing it in the rain; I may not have many opportunities.

I got caught in a down-pour in old town Albuquerque in 1977.

That was probably the last time it rained there.

Congrats on the CD. These are really nice hats, aren't they?
