Akubra Tawny Fawn?

Hello all,
As has been the case in the past, I am asking a question/starting a thread I am sure has been touched on in the past, nevertheless, I am unable to find the answer I am looking for.

So, without further ado - What color exactly is the Tawny Fawn from Akubra?

I am slightly color blind, this on top of the various shades a felt can display depending on the picture/monitor/light etc makes for a real dilemma in determining a specific color.

Adding to the frustration, the boss just told me it looks “green, brown and pink” Yes, she said “PINK”!!

Now, she knows I wouldn’t buy a pink hat.. and obviously she knows I am color impaired, thus one can not rule out her saying this as a clever way to stop me from completing the purchase of yet another hat!

It is 2021 after all... I don’t think it’s acceptable in polite society to use such tom foolery when a person with disadvantages asks for assistance... I dare say I smell a law suit?!? ;)HAHAHA

it looks tan to me... idk? If it’s green or good lord if it’s pink, I am not interested! In that case I’ll go with the Heritage Fawn Fed IV instead.

please help! Haha.

Cheers!

I have a Fed IV in Tawny Fawn, and I can safely say it has never ever looked "pink" to me. Fed IV on the left, Taupe Fawn Campdraft on the right:

In bright sunlight the Tawny Fawn takes on a bit more of a warmer/golden appearance than it actually has. In more muted lighting it's simply a nice mid-tan color. Everyone's tastes are different, and, of course, your color "impairment" will likely alter your perception of the true color, but if you're looking for a nice tan hat that occasionally has more of a slight yellowish hue, I think you'll like Akubra's Tawny Fawn.

We have so many Akubra threads going already that all of the threads you've started in the past few days could be merged into. Perhaps consider those (e.g. Akubra questions; specific threads on the Campdraft; threads dedicated to conversions and mods; not to even mention "ask a question get an answer")

Yeah, It’s not a big deal until you try to find some this and realize your key work search returned 150 threads. Just for organizational purposes it’s nice to keep related topics in a single thread. It seems as though the bartenders aren’t as likely to merge threads lately compared to in the past.

The one way I get 'pink' would be that the shade is not unlike that of WW2 US Army officer's "pinks" trousers.... but those were tan, and not pink. So, yeah...
