jp, you will not be sorry if you order one (unless of course she kills you or something). I have worn mine nonstop since I got it and it did not take long for me to really grow to like the "bigness" of it. I do, after all, also think it can be a "suit hat" suitable (pun) for wearing to the big ceremony!

I want one with the cattlemans crease. Can a western store do this?

They sure can! How long would it take you to drive to the store?

You can chop out that cattleman in lets see, thousand 1 thousand 2. That's two seconds! One quick karate chop to the top (thousand 1) and one quick chop using the finger tips of both hands at the same time to the sides (thousand 2). Don't push the felt chop it.

Now grab that sucker by the brim and smack it against your thigh for good luck :D . Put in on and go look in the mirror.

Would you buy a horse from that guy? lol

If not then pinch and squeeze and chop and rock and roll on that hat until you would trust that man in the mirror to sell you a horse.

Could you have been to the store and back by now?

July 31st, 2010 is what we've decided- barring any unforeseen events, of course. We've talked about it a lot, and I'm definitly ready for it, but it's hard to pay for a ring (then propose) when you're a broke college kid with on Marine Reserve drill pay getting you by! This makes buying hats tricky too!

I talked to Hats Direct

about the Campdraft, and they said that they can get it in a Long Oval as well, and that all I have to do is request it when I check out. Ron Lilburne was the guy who e-mailed me back.
They also said that they are going to be in stock of Taupe Fawn within the next 10 days, as well.
I think that I would probably want mid brown better, but I don't know if I can handle a 3 month wait! That's why i talked to Hats Direct, fyi.

Some folks say you can see the Crease of a Hat in Kansas from the Loess Hills. Some folks say there is a mountain lion or two roaming around here.

The official line from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources is that mountain lions are only know to roam in the Loess Hills.

I've been to and fro the Loess Hills and I have not once seen any evidence of a
