Congrats on the new CD Robert. Good job on the crease.

Also, good luck on not buying anymore...I've lost count of how many Campdrafts I have!

This is my BG Campdraft. It is my favorite hat, without a doubt. I've got a Silverbelly CD on order, though, so I imagine there will be some competition when it arrives (had to do the three month wait for it).

I got a nice compliment on the hat this morning at the store down the street. The young woman working there said, "Wow, that's an awesome hat! It's like a fedora and a cowboy hat had a baby."

Oh, and first post here. This is a great community; I've learned a lot here already. Thanks to everyone for all the great information and discussion.

This is my BG Campdraft...
Welcome to The Lounge Ultraslack! Your new BG Campdraft really suits you, and it goes well with the jacket you're wearing in the photo you posted!

I really have to stop reading this thread or I'll end up with a Bluegrass Green Campdraft...or a Taupe Fawn...or both! :frusty:

Thank you. That jacket was a gift from a friend. Her dad got it as a birthday present, wore it once, and didn't like it. So I lucked out. And it is a great accessory for a hat.

(As to the BG Campdraft -- you know you want one. Do eet!). :D

Welcome Ultraslack. Great looking crease!

Thank you. That was my first open crown hat, and thus my first crease, ever. The teardrop just seemed natural for that hat; I may try something different with my next one, just for variety. I've got a Silverbelly CD on order, so perhaps a cattleman crease? Not sure yet.

Great looking hat and welcome to the lounge. I have 6 CDs so far. All terrific hats. I am sure you will find a strong urge to get another and it won't be long!

Welcome Ultraslack. Great CD and can you tell us what brand and model the jacket is. I like what I can see of it. Thanks.

The jacket is a Paradox. I don't know much else about it, or whether they make that model anymore. It's pretty heavy duty, and quite warm. I like the look, too. :)

Fellow Loungers (and enablers), I'd like your help. I'm considering my next hat purchase and, of course, I'm seriously considering another Campdraft. I'm thinking Taupe Fawn for this one, but it's another of those colors that doesn't seem to photograph accurately. Using my Tawny Fawn Fed IV for comparison, I've seen photos (in this thread and in a Google search) of the Taupe Fawn that make it appear darker, similar, redder, and/or much lighter than the Tawny Fawn. Before I pull the trigger on this purchase I'd like to have a good idea of what the true color is, so here's the question:

Can anyone here post a photo, or a link to a photo, that you consider to be an accurate representation of the Taupe Fawn? I know colors look different on different monitors because of the variety of settings, so I'm very willing to look at some "I think this is pretty close" photos since the ones I've seen so far vary so widely. Thanks! :yo:
