I have the exact same jacket, also purchased through Thurston Brothers on a whim. It was close to my birthday so I justified it as a well-deserved birthday present...
The blackened brown Vicenza is the perfect leather for this jacket in my opinion. It was soft and easy to wear from the moment I pulled it out of the box.
As a matter fact I think I’m gonna throw it on right now.

Looks great! I am a little worried about the sleeve length on the one I just ordered. The measurements look pretty spot on according to the TB description except the sleeves are just slightly longer than I prefer....still couldn’t pass it up. Hoping it won’t matter. Guess I’ll find out in a few days.

The measurements look pretty spot on according to the TB description except the sleeves are just slightly longer than I prefer....still couldn’t pass it up. Hoping it won’t matter. The sleeves on mine are just right but I know that stock TB stuff is often a little long for some people. Fortunately I think you can get away with longer sleeves on a trucker jacket because the buttons at the cuff keep them from slipping down over your hands. Over time they should crease up nicely and any extra length won’t even be noticeable. At least that is what I tell myself every time I buy a new IH type 3 with sleeves that come down to my knees...
