That’s a nice looking Teamster and a good fit. Shoulders will drop a bit as it breaks in, you wouldn’t want tight shoulders if you’re layering - nice looking hide too.

I worried about the squareness of the shoulders on my LHB when I first got it, but I wore the blazes out of it and they relaxed within a few months.

Actually I have noticed a few jackets posted here of late that had shoulders that appear slightly too narrow. This makes some jackets look a little too broad in the torso/stomach area.

I haven't noticed it to an extend that bothered me with any jacket presented here lately, but I do completely agree with you.

I always felt a jacket is supposed to compliment the body, so it should make your shoulders look broader and either conceal the tummy or hightlight a narrow waist, depending on individual physique.

Ofcourse, dropping shoulders look odd too, but there's miles between dropping shoulders and the "shoulder seam sitting precisely at the end of the collar bone"-fit that I have seen some people aspire. I own one tailor-cut leather jacket fitting like that, trim shoulders, trim in the body and whenever I put it on, I can't help but feel I don't make a good figure in it, even though it is flawless in construction and fits just fine.

Agree. Shoulders may be the least understood part of jacket fit. Certainly the least discussed. I hate the look of shoulder droop but I would prefer slightly larger shoulders than narrow ones. Personally at six two and a trim 182 pounds any shoulders narrower than 19 inches look a bit odd on me. I sometimes see jackets at Aero that would fit me in a 42 but the shoulders are just too narrow at 18 inches and sometimes not even that.

Fantastic looking jacket. I wouldn't worry about the back and shoulders too much. I was always pulling on my sleeves to relax the shoulders a bit on my jackets as well. Time and usage will take care of all that.

Two days in wearing the jacket and really liking it. The buttoned cuffs were tight and hard to pull my hand through, so unbuttoning them helped a ton.

Now to get this thing broken in!

The fit looks spot on to me and appears to fit you more or less the same as my brown FQHH Teamster does me. I tend to layer underneath mine with a Filson moleskin vest, or a 24 oz Mackinaw wool vest when it is really cold outside. I think a Teamster would be too tight and far less useful if you sized down. In any case I see no evidence of drooping shoulders with yours. Thus far the only jacket I have ever owned with excessive shoulder droop is my G&B Expedition (Indy) jacket that is the result of poor design rather than sizing.

What a beautyful jacket! Congrats for the fit. And really nothing wrong with the shoulders. They look cool the way they are right now, ans I guess they will adopt to your shape in a short while.
