Hi there,

New member and first-time "poster" here but somewhat of a long-time lurker to TFL.

I'd like to offer these here before posting up eBay to try and be a bit more of a productive member here as I'm not typically the type to post on internet forums.

I have two items for sale, both recent acquisitions of mine that I'm selling simply due to poor sizing on my part. I'm a bit tall at 6'2 so body and sleeve length is almost always a challenge for me.

I'm happy to provide my eBay ID an even my Grailed ID for feedback as I'm sure a new poster with 0 history will be a bit suspect. I totally get it so if there's something I can do to help, just let me know.

1.) Aero STF Bootlegger in Black CXL FQHH size 42. This is brand new, never worn, only tried on and I did my best to not bend my arms :p. Selling as the sleeves and body feel too short. This thing is gorgeous and the leather/hide is amazing in my opinion.

Black/matching stitching, antique brass hardware, no interior pocket, Royal Stewart Tartan lining.

p2p 22.25"
Sleeve 26"
Back length 26"
Shoulder 17.75/18"

2.) Aero Sheene in Black Vicenza size 40 Used and needs a main new zipper This is lightly used and a very recent pickup. It still seems like it's almost new and the previous owner said he wore it around ten times.

The same issue, the body length is just too short for me though the sleeves, for some reason, feel a bit better.

Olive stitching with olive sateen lining. no side pockets or interior pockets. Zipper sleeves (like a cafe racer) and what I believe is an August collar as it matches my Aero seven exactly, which has an August collar. Shoulder gussets and a highwayman style back yoke.

As mentioned above, this needs a new main zipper. I planned on sending back to Aero but with the uncertainty of things these days regarding COVID-19, I'd rather just let it go and get some money in the ol' savings account sooner than later.

p2p 22"
Sleeve 26"+
Back Length 26"
Shoulder 18.5-19"

Accepting reasonable offers on both before these both go to eBay. Apologies in advance if I'm breaking classifieds rules but I would accept PayPal (or Venmo?) from verified users only. After years of selling personal items online, I prefer to only ship to the continental 48 states only and prefer not to accept returns unless there's a clear and obvious issue with an item.

Apologies, I forgot to post the photo of the main zipper on the Sheene.

It definitely needs a new main/front zipper as it's missing a few teeth.

That Bootlegger... GLWS!
Hi, I am interested in the Sheene. I am in Australia, I would pay whatever the postage cost was.

What would make you part with it? Once we agree I would pay by PP immediately & settle the postage when known.

Roland , strewth mate you're KEEN !

WHY would a "barely worn" Aero need a new zipper ? That's at least a $125 Australian repair job.

And that's with a YKK zipper NOT a Talon or RIRI !!

Also is the Bootlegger from the fairly recently much vaunted Aero "sale" that was all over this forum at the time ?

Nor trying to interfere in the OP posters sale , just the voice of caution on the fence so to speak !

No worries old mate. Again no slur intended against the seller as said.

I did myself recently buy ex-Forum a "new(ish) Aero Highwayman" out of St Petersburg Russia no less.

Under circumstances other than this forum that may have appeared to some to be a "risky" venture and rightly so !

Sending lots of AUD "friends and family" into the wide blue yonder with no eBay recourse if it went "tits up"...

Deal was so smooooth I bought another Schott 689H collared café racer from the same Russian seller ( Alex Lutov)

Again that was a well lovely jacket , so good indeed that a good mate of mine pestered me to sell it to him so I did !

Hi Roland, I appreciate the interest but as I said had originally stated, I really prefer to sell in the continental 48 states only. After having been caught in a few unfortunate situations in previous foregin/int'l sales, it's something I'd prefer to avoid. Not a reflection on you personally, it's just something that has the potential for added risk and complexity I'd rather not deal with.

In regards to the Sheene, the previous owner said he had a shirt/garment get severely jammed/stuck in the zipper and the ending result was a few missing teeth. It's not an issue due to the age of the jacket or wear/tear. I'd kinda liken it to getting a flat tire. It can happen on a brand new car or an old car. I posted as many photos as I could so hopefully the photos speak for themselves.

The Bootlegger was recently picked up direct from Aero during their sale. If you're asking this question in regards to my asking price, I'm simply hoping to recoup my costs and settle on a price that a potential buyer is comfortable with.

I was asked in a DM if the front zipper is still functional so I figured I'd post here as well. It is technically functional and will zip up, without issue, BUT if you go past the portion of the zipper without teeth, the zipper body/pull will come off.

In the original photos above, the zipper body/pull is completely off and stored in the front pocket of the jacket so I don't lose it.

Here are a few photos of the zipper 'in action'. If anyone is wondering, I'd say you can zip it up about 3/4 of the way but I'd still recommend getting a new one at some point.

And for good measure, the front length of the jacket, from the very top of the zipper to the bottom hem, is about 22" (photo below)
