I'd leave it as it and wear it. Don't over-think this. If you don't like it after all, I'd be interested in it as is, I struggle to find sleeves long enough! :)

Thanks @handymike @AeroFan_07 @Boyo @ton312 @dudewuttheheck @Finn Vigorous @navetsea @lina @patrick_b @zebedee @Mandarin for your views and guidance
I think I will simply use the jacket as it is. I like the jacket quite a bit, but in case I continue to have doubts regarding the sleeve length, I may consider to put it on sale. Lets see. But no alterations as most of you have suggested. I don't want to risk ruining the jacket, besides it will certainly play a part in case I decide to sell it later

Unfortunetly, if you decide to modify it, you won't be able to resell it for what you bought it for + that modiifcation costs.

I ran into this with a jacket not unlike your new Sheene that the zipper failed right after I bought it. It was not the seller's fault at all, but I paid quite a bit of money for JL in San Francisco to replace it. It added a lot to the cost of the jacket, but in that case it's a definate keeper, so I did not mind so much.

I also feel that way about this jacket, that it is a definite keeper, that is the only factor in favor of getting the sleeve shortened. But still I will hold for now, today I wore the jacket with one light sweater, and the sleeves looked more fitted. I think If I wear it with a heavier layer, the sleeves may actually look good

Couple of pics taken outside, pls ignore the outfit, I am trying to break it in by wearing it anywhere and everywhere possible, even on morning walks. I think fit looks decent, including the sleeves. I believe it is conforming to my body

The sleeve is a little long, yet as a riding jacket, I think it is fine. I'm going to get a ton of heat for this .... but here we go. I've had a Highwayman FQHH for 6ish years in MN. Sleeves were only about a half-inch too long. Have worn it every time I needed that weight of a jacket (a lot). Followed the guidelines by never treating it - 30 years they say. (I HAVE ruined lesser leather by overtreating.) When I wasn't wearing it, the jacket just stood in the corner like it was guarding the Queen. Anyhow the collar started drying out, so .. committing heresy I tried a single light coat of Obenauf's leather oil. I truly wished I had applied the oil YEARS ago. My sleeves fit perfectly and the jacket now truly fits and feels like the price I paid for it - even used. IF you want to re-sell I wouldn't do it, but if you like the jacket use the oil and enjoy wearing it it's worth it. IMHO it turned my jacket from an expensive fashion piece into a luxurious soft thick leather that I thoroughly enjoy wearing.

Hi. I'm not very knowledgeable about these treatments. Are you saying that the leather oil you used caused the jacket sleeves to shrink up some? Or just that the way the jacket confirms to you improved by maybe softening up the leather? Just curious.

Hee-hee, if you wore the jacket in a hot shower, your legs would have that uber-sexy spray tan glow from the late '70s and early '80s. My jacket has been drenched in many a thunderstorm ... and for the first six or so years, the leather seats in my vehicles had to be vigorously cleaned. As I stated, up until I applied the oil, I was proud of how stiff the jacket was. Once the oil was applied, yes it softened the leather up, it does conform to my shape better. Think of brand new, starched, or clothesline dried jeans. They are always too long and too stiff .. never fit well until they'd been worn a time or two. Maybe relaxing is a better term. After one light coating of oil, I can't stop myself from feeling and touching the jacket as I walk by - buttery is the only way I can explain it. Caveat emptor, most Aero owners (I was one for YEARS) believe the stiffness is one of their qualities. By that logic, you only try to help it after it's too late.
