I got this outstanding jacket this week from tnjyoung. Its quite a nice jacket. Thank you to him for the deal. Im glad I acted fast enough to get this one after missing so many others. I have only had my highwayman which is obliviously a much more boxy utility jacket. I haven't gotten my customs in yet from Thurston. So Since this is much more fitted then my other jacket I was just looking for opinions if it looks right. It might be a tad on the tight side when zipped but I think thats how this fitted style is suppose to look. So does this look right?

I agree i think I'm about 6lbs from it being correct. I never zip my jackets. I don't think I've even zipped my highwayman once. I do think the pic angle isn't the best. Just seeing if it was close enough to keep or if i should send it on down the line to someone else. I can handle harsh words. That's why i came here to ask.
I concur with what @Sloan1874 said about being too tight in the torso. I am more or less built like a tall stick but still needed 2.5" added to the circumference of the waist for my two Sheenes to fit correctly. I can't help but wonder if your build might be better suited to a HWM than a Cafe Racer / Sheene pattern?

I think comparing the fit of a Sheene vs. HWM is like comparing apples to oranges. If your Sheene had 2.5" to 3" added to the circumference of the torso/waist (1.25" to 1.5" added to each side panel), I think I might actually prefer the look of the Sheene on you over that of the HWM.

Since you asked for honest opinions, and said you could take it... I hope this doesn't come off too harsh...
Those two jackets give you two completely different looks. It was actually an educating eye-opener for me regarding fit and appearance, and makes me realize I've been a bit blind and clueless about the way I dress.
The Highwayman makes you look like you don't think that much about how you look. It's okay, it's comfortable, it's the perfect jacket to wear to a tailgate party with your buddies.
The Sheene makes you look a lot sharper. It's the kind of jacket you could wear out to a club if you were looking to meet women.
However... Being such a tight fit around the middle, it draws attention the the fact that you have a little beer gut there - even unzipped. If you were to lose ten pounds, you would have found the Holy Grail of jackets, for you, in that Sheene - a jacket to wear, and rock with flair, for a lifetime.
Even without any weight loss, it looks sharp. Keep it, and let it be a guide and motivation to stay in shape the rest of your life.
Keep the Highwayman too - sometimes you want a looser comfortable jacket to wear over a hoodie to the high school football game, or raking leaves on a crisp autumn day, or wrestling with your kids on the lawn.
With those two jackets, you have all bases covered.

It's a tight fit but I think simply zipping the handwarmers would make it look less so. It's supposed to be tight and it's really up to you as to how it feels. The Sheene is a good fit, except for being a bit tight around the middle; the Highwayman is just too big for you. You probably need to move it on down the road, lose 10 pounds around the middle and wear the Sheene with pride.

When I first got my custom Aero Sheene.
Well here it is today. Four months in, wearing it in the house, showering in it once (warm/hot water), sleeping in it, and just throwing it down here and there. It was 90+ degrees here (in Germany) today, but the cooler weather should be right around the corner (hopefully :eusa_doh.
Hopefully you guys will enjoy the amateur (selfie) photos. I'm interested in all of your critique, too, good and bad.

Well, I am going to weigh in, too. First of all, I think the Sheene looks great on you in its "unzipped" state. I agree with others, commit to good health and lose the 10 lbs
. I will say, though that in my opinion, coupled with what I know about Aero shrinkage through break in, that the Highwayman would have looked amazing, too---if you had kept it. I actually was thinking seriously about buying it myself.On my next Aero, I plan to order larger than I need, so that after break in it fits like I want it to. My shoulders are uncommonly broad, arms uncommonly long, and the Sheene had gotten to where I felt like I was in a straight jacket when wearing it. The sleeve's had shrunk to where when I reached out to grab handlebars or the steering wheel they pulled back hard on my lower forearm. It is/was breaking in beautifully, but it was just not comfortable for me to wear anymore.
I say all this to say, that on you, the Sheene sleeve length, shoulders, etc. look excellent. The only issue is the mid section and unzipped you can't tell. I already miss my jacket, but I will have another (hopefully soon). So glad to see you wearing it and to see everyone's positive comments on how the jacket looks on you! Cheers!
