Just wanted to post some update photos in this thread. Took these pictures today, I probably have about 80 hours of wear time in this jacket currently. We've had a warm fall in Austin so I haven't been able to wear it as often as I'd like. I spent a few days in Boston last weekend and wore it extensively, I really feel like it broke in significantly during the trip.

I really love this jacket. This jacket is showing some evo at high wear areas--along zippers, collar, and sleeve openings. The sleeve creases have also settled in nicely. There is some graining difference between the right and left upper chest but I actually like the difference a lot.

This jacket fit very tight at the start but has loosened considerably. I have much more mobility at the shoulders but it's certainly not a good pick for a jumping jack competition. Thanks for taking a look, I'll aim to add some more evo pictures to this thread after winter. I hope this thread can be helpful to anyone looking to order a Sheene, and please feel free to ask me any questions you have.

Thanks!
Oh yeah, that's awesome.

Just wanted to post some updates at the roughly one year mark. The first few pics show how well the jacket is draping, I'm very happy with how the hide has broken in. A decent amount of the base coat is starting to show through the black. This jacket has started graining up really nicely, particularly on the left shoulder. This jacket doesn't get nearly enough wear, what with the general Texas climate and overly provisioned stable of jackets, but this was my first real leather jacket so it holds a special place. Really a fan of the clean single yoke back, and sort of weights the jacket visually in the shoulders.

Truly awesome, I can only agree with the others. Cannot be improved! Keep it and wear the hell out of it!

He's a great dog. I've also been taking care of my parents two dogs for the last three months while they are in India--so much work but all the walking means lots of time in leather jackets so I cant complain too much. Plus all that fetch does wonders for the elbow creases...

That is a great looking jacket. I have a Sheene in Vicenza and I love it but that heavy black horsehide is particularity delicious.

You continue to do well with this CXL FQHH jacket. I feel your pain regarding the hot Texas weather as I live less than 200 miles from you, straight north. My only CXL FQHH jacket is my Teamster that has broken in similarly to yours.

The heat is running on longer this year but it seems were starting to get jacket weather in the evenings. Cant wait to need a jacket all day long.

I see on page 2 that you spec'ed this:
-Interior and Exterior Kidney panel

But, I don't see an external kidney panel. Did you change that spec? And, does the jacket have an internal kidney panel?

Yeah I ultimately left out the external kidney but the jacket does have an internal one. I think the internal one will prevent a lot of wear on the lining, especially on a closer fitting jacket.

^^That's the same standard V yoke that's on the Highwayman model. Just do be aware that the Premier fit Highwayman has a little different and more distinct V-yoke.
