Hello all, I received my custom aero sheene about a month ago, it fits great (thanks to some awesome advice from everyone here) and is breaking in and becoming very comfortable. My only issue is that the elbows are almost bagged out, I tried looking up this issue and couldn’t find anything talking about this. I don’t really like how this looks and if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix or atleast mitigate this I would appreciate your input.

Is it accurate to say the leather stretched at the elbow due to flexing? Was it somewhat like this when you received it?
I just want to determine if it was the cut of the design.

Conditioning might help.

Did you get stuck in the rain with it? Looking at the zipper it seems like you were riding and got caught in the rain and the sleeves were set in a flexed position. Vicenza is good leather but really not the best if you are riding in wet locations.

Try conditioning and flatten it back out. It won't go back to stock but should get better.

I will try conditioning it. But I don’t actually ride, as much as I would love too. But although I have been caught in the rain with this once, the elbows had already begun to do this after the third day of wear.

it is definitely due to my arms flexing/ bending, the jacket had some curve to the sleeve for certain but nothing like this. I think it was impart due to how stuff the jacket was initially. This Vicenza was much stiffer than even the CXL steerhide fit jacket they sent me. It’s much softer and more comfortable now though.

Were you expecting to wear a jacket without bending your arms ever?

its the curve on the sleeve, and when the inside of the elbow creased the outer side of the elbow is doing that, after awhile when the elbow is getting softer it won't do that anymore, its just a phase of semi broken in jacket.

This is me, wearing my heavy steerhide Sheene.

I was playing a Nintendo light gun game at a museum, standing in front of a black wall, so the contrast is terrible, and I had to adjust the image to be able to bring out the details of the image, resulting in some pretty bad artifacting, both from the camera sensor and from the jpeg compression.

I don't have as many angles of the sleeve as you've shown, really juts this one photo shows well how the sleeve looks. But I think you can see even from this single image that my jacket doesn't have anything like the issue yours does with the sleeve billowing out at the elbow.

It was still pretty stiff in these photos, and not all that broken in. Yet this jacket fits me like it was made for me, although in truth I bought it off or Aero's ready-to-wear sale page.

I don't know what's going on with your jacket, but it's plain that the sleeves are much more loose on you than mine is on me.

you don't see it Guppy because on yours the elbow is toward the camera, I remember playing duckhunt using that kind of nintendo light gun in one of my friend's nintendo, as I had famicom instead of nes, and my controllers were directly connected to the console

I have a collared “Seven” like this as well. The sleeves are all stretched out I think it’s due to the sleeves being a bit too tight as well as the lining. As your arm bends the sleeves can’t ride up or move naturally because they are so tight so the leather stretches out. You can try shrinking it or taking it in, but it’ll just stretch again because you need that extra space. I believe (I’m no expert) you just going to have to deal with it.

Basically this is the schematic explanation of what is happening, and it is temporary because the leather is still crisp

The same thing happens too on raw denim when the starch is still strong, overtime the material will get softer and gravity will win over it, so just patiently wait through it.

I have that more or less with all my jackets that are not stretchy. It's logical: when the arm is bent, the elbow presses into the leather and bulges it. But since the leather remains somewhat stretched, the bulge appears when the arm is stretched. This also happens with sleeves with a strong curve when the arm is stretched.
The only way to prevent this is with stretch materials or a sleeve that is much too wide.

That's part of the game, the real deal... enjoy it!

I don't think that's it. As I said, I don't have as many photos from different angles, but I can tell you that when viewed in person that it doesn't have such a pronounced billow at the elbow as what the OP is showing with their jacket. I'm sure a certain amount of wrinkling, bunching up, or whatever would be normal, but what they are showing looks excessive to me.
