I just got home from work to find all of your posts...thank you so much for the kind words! It looks like I'll be wearing the jacket in the mornings while driving to work (zipped) and then again at home in the evenings as much as possible. I may even try my hand at sleeping in it at least once. It is so heavy and stiff, it is hard to believe it will ever relax. I have it on as I type this message and it is squeaking and creaking as the leather rubs against itself. Did I mention how good this thing smells?

Its a shame that your lady doesn't like the smell. Mine just complimented me by saying this jacket is the "first" and "only" purchase that I have ever made online that she actually likes. She went on to say that "she just hopes I keep it"...no worries there!

You did well. It looks the business, as our GB friends would say.

Yes it was 70 degrees today, but worry not, it will be back to below freezing before the next three weeks are finished. There should be plenty of cool weather here in Tennessee, if you are in Middle or East Tennessee. Or if we have an early and lengthy Spring, just turn the A/C to 67 degrees and wear it in the house with lots of movement in the shoulders and arms. That will do the trick, and you will be ready to go in September when we start to cool down.

Update Fit Pics: (3 weeks new with a little breaking in)...





Beginning to see some striations in the leather. Worn daily around the house, once out in the rain, and once out on a date. Too hot here for daily wear.

Thank you everyone. @ jonbuilder, I'm not sure if there is anything premier about it... Thurston Bros, partnered with Aero Leathers, created this combination of the Cafe Racer & the Highwayman, I fell in love, the rest is history. I can't wait till it has that old-world patina, a few natural scuffs, faded areas, and creases. It should be something I will cherish for many years to come.

Congrats!
I really can't say that I would do anything differently, even if I ordered it all over again. One thing I have learned, though, is these jackets go on stiff, but after they warm up to your body temperature they become buttery soft and much more flexible. The only thing that was not delivered was a special request for two-piece sleeves. So if you asked for that, make sure it is in BOLD print when it heads to Aero.

Thanks for the tip. I'm not sure on sleeves yet, but like the plain back on yours, think I'm going to forego the kidney pad. No sleeve zips either. Do you have any interior pockets on yours? What is your size, Carrie is sending me a 44 cafe racer fit jacket to try on. Should be here Monday. Hoping to get my order finalized next week so I can get in on May production!
