It is a serious piece of kit. I was beginning to overheat just wearing it in the factory - it's got a nice subtle herring-bone lining.I think you got the best of the bunch. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on the Daytona, it was a storse jacket I believe so you can expect 4oz plus. It's heavenly stuff.

Yes, I tried it on and I really liked it. I didn't see the Indian Ranger, but things were pretty frantic and jackets were being moved around a lot, so I'm not surprised. You scored a winner with the Daytona, though.
I was sooo tempted by that Daytona too, I took too long to pull the trigger.
You snooze, you...save a bunch of money on a jacket you almost certainly don't need.
Nah, you may find a good bargain among that pile in the corner!More like "dusty corner" than "hidden treasures"
Well, to each his own. Historical accuracy is the most important and the most valued thing for B-3 (as well as for any other WWII repro jacket(s). Without full historical accuracy any B-3 has no value to me. Just my opinion.Nah, you may find a good bargain among that pile in the corner!
A year ago I got an Aero B3 from the sales page - it was an old test pattern that was laying around the factory for years - except for some dust and historic inaccuracy (for which I personally don't care) I got a new B3 at 2/3 of the price of a brand new one.
I can fully understand this! For me it was less of an issue, I needed a sheepskin for commuting during the dutch winter!Well, to each his own. Your opinion is certainly as good as mine, if not better, but with this opinion, I believe it's hard to find any repro B-3's with any value as they're all bound to be more or less inaccurate.
For me it's easy to understand that fit and warmth would be more interesting qualities for many of us.
