Aero no longer taking used jackets?

Hi,

Long-time lurker with no account here. Had one about 10plus years ago, but after the changing of the forum software I never got around to register again, just being contend with reading here.
Anyway, just contacted Holly at Aero because I wanted to sell them back my recently purchased Board Racer in 42 Vincenza HH. I was told that they do not buy jackets back and was really astonished because I assumed that all the jackets in the Used section of their website were from customers...anyone know when or if that policy changed? I think I sold them a jacket 15 years ago but details are hazy. Thanks!

Aero do not do straight buy backs but will generally (depending on condition) offer a trade in value against a new purchase. Jackets in the used section are from trade ins.

That's why we have Ebay or the sales section here. Will get a better price anyhow than an entity that needs to make a profit.

I think I did this about eight years ago or so where I had bought a new Aero House A2 in the Indian goat they were offering at the time but just couldn't get on with it so I was able to trade it off against a steerhide Highwayman without any issues.
