I'm up for a bargain with the best of them but, given how leather readily absorbs odours from its environment, I would want to know exactly where theses jackets were stored and for how long. I've had some bad experiences buying jackets from the homes of smokers and those that store jackets in damp areas. Smoke and musty odours can be a nightmare to eradicate.

Just a thought.

Most were stacked in the upstairs room up in Will's terrace house in what was basically a reproduction of Aero's store rooms - heavy duty hangers, racks and cubby holes. When they were recovered, they were brought back to Aero's store rooms for keeping until the case, and since then they've been kept in a locked court evidence room - smoke free all the way.

lol! Well, I would like to extend tropicalbob's best wishes to both Calder and the Lauder families because I'm such a nice guy and also because I believe in second chances. Okay, maybe not in this case, no, but in some other second chances. Besides, I'm sure Mr. Lauder could use just about any best wish sent in his general direction. So, that would be one. Now.

Would be amazing for Aero to turn the events into something positive for themselves. I wouldn't assume the recovered merch will be slash priced tho...there's definitely some built in mystique to recovering pirates booty;)

Beyond Lauder, I am somewhat sad for the employees who left Aero to follow him. I would think that they did not know about the facts that got Mr Lauder his sentence.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't our Mr Lauder a heavy smoker? Just wondering how jackets that were stored for years in a smokers terraced home could be classified as "smoke free all the way"? Some buyers might not be sensitive to such things but, for some, jacket odours can be a real deal breaker. Has anyone actually had their olfactory system around the merchandise?

That would suck. Hopefully, they were well out of the way, but good point. I know I have a problem with smoke and my wife is even worse. Hoping that's not the case as I'd like to see if there's anything in my size and budget...

Nah, there weren't very many 'storse' jackets, in the truest sense of the mixed hides. The wrongly-labelled jackets were more of an issue and those found have been relabeled properly. Remember, this was the stuff that Will had taken for himself. It's the premium jackets he was taking, not the 'knock-offs' he had the staff making.
