I can only tell you what was said and by whom, I've stuck to the facts. If they'd been exhaustive in exploring every question, we'd still be there. Also, it was said to Will's lawyer, who really didn't want to chase that line of questioning for obvious reasons.

I appreciate that.
See, this is exactly why this thread gets my goat. Way too many questions about this case. It's not your fault.

IMO best we all try to stay focused on facts rather than to speculate what might have happened. I have no doubt that many questions will remain unanswered, although I strongly suspect that other answers will become apparent as Sloan's trial narrative is presented.

The difficulty in presenting this is that I have 40 pages of notes sitting on my computer, which I clearly couldn't just slosh over the Lounge. I'm trying to build the narrative in terms of chronology and themes to give you a clear idea of what happened and what the court was told. If there are gaps and I can answer, I will of course fill them in.

Does anyone know why Toohey left Aero? Let's see: why would WL be coming in at 4:00am and employing a former worker to make jackets? Hmm.

We can speculate about a lot of things. Wouldn't necessarily read too much into the timeing on its own, though.... I was told by Aero folks when I visited the factory last year that in Summer it's quite common for them to work in the early hours of the morning or overnight instead of at peak temperatures. We Celts don't cope too well with the heat, see.... ;)

Steve Toohey is seen talking in the first video on AL's website. I knew Will left Aero but had no idea that Steve was an ex Aero employee too.

When first established, all the text on the AL website talked about Will Lauder. There was even, briefly, a statement from Lauder directly about the then allegations of theft, though that was quickly replaced by some much more profession text. All direct references to Aero were later removed, as I understand it at the behest of Aero's lawyers (in the specific context in which they were used, they amounted to infringement of trademark). At some point in time after Will was arrested, his name disappeared from the AL site entirely, and Steve Toohey's name appeared instead. Presumably the lack of mention of Aero in connection with him was to do with AL's previous agreement not to use Aero's TM on their website.

I like that you're giving the info in increments. I like having something new and interesting to read every day. Sometimes it gets slow around here.

I just returned to Scotland from the 100F heat of Arizona - and the cool air feels great! And you get to wear a great jacket.

Having said that, I was in Flagstaff, AZ last summer and was surprised how cool it was, but I gather it sits quite high. We felt we could easily have worn a jacket at night, but didn't have one.

Apart from that, I've bought my popcorn and am patiently waiting for tonight's installment...
