AERO Italian Natural horsehide. 30's Half Belt.

Simply the most stunning leather I have handled for non motorcycle use.
Direct from Aero of Scotland. I had already purchased new and then sold a size 42, thick steerhide 30's half belt from Aero via Thurston so I was certain of fit. And I do miss that thick steerhide jacket. Alas, my tears of regret have become tears of joy. I just unboxed this jacket one hour ago.

I am almost overwhelmed by the sheer beauty of it. Intoxicating unique smell from this Italian tanned leather. It remarkably feels like butter; were butter a solid and wearable. Black sateen lining, upgraded Japanese chest zipper pull with added length to the sleeves and body. Feels like jacket heaven when worn.
If I was single this would be my ace for a date with any woman with great taste.
It slides onto my shoulders and whispers in my ear "The world is your oyster".

This is the same leather Aero used in collaboration with Epaulet of New York.
I very much look forward to witnessing how the leather ages and colors with exposure to life and all the UV radiation it has to offer.

I hope we age together, and together display the patina that will make us noteworthy.....

I did order direct and waited till the Italian tannery had shipped the leather. Some delays. But anyone who deals with Italy knows delays are part of life......
So highly recommended. I am not one to gush but damn......this hide surprised me! Ken was great to deal with. Class.

I actually spoke to Epaulet of New York and they explained that they can supply a variety of Aero designs. But, getting that leather is the real trick especially if it is not in stock in my opinion.

Like most of us here caught in this wonderful madness, I have had multiple Lost World, Aero, Langlitz, Thedi in multiple hides. For EVERYTHING but riding and wet weather this will be my go to jacket. This natural horse is special. I have never imagined leather this wonderful to touch, smell and wear. You will not be disappointed. I look forward to your jackets arrival. Would love to see photo's and hear another impression of this fantastic hide!!
