Greetings!

I have a size 42 Aero Highwayman in dark brown FQHH I purchased new 2 weeks ago, it is just too large for me. Worn about 2 dozen times, mostly in the home.

Measurements:
Shoulders across: 19.5 inches
Pit to pit: 25.5 inches
Sleeve length (outside): 26.5 inches
Bottom of collar to bottom of back: 25.5 inches

one outside chest pocket
one left vertical inside chest pocket
brown cotton drill lining
antique brass hardware
Moleskin lined pockets

Worn about 2 dozen times, not in the rain. just starting to break in. A beautiful premium jacket as we all know, I plan to re-order in a smaller size when I sell this.

I'll try that. Honestly I could keep it I suppose. I have a 44 inch chest and this one is 25.5 pit to pit, so as a winter jacket with layers it works. I live in DC with a short commute, so don't need to layer much and was originally looking for a more fitted jacket. It's my fault though, insurrection suggested smaller.

I know what you mean - my Highwayman is a 44" and fits 'comfortably' but then that's the designed fit so I'm content. There is a horsehide 46" Vanson Ike on eBay with nearly identical measurements which is very tempting but whereas the Highwayman is a 'boxy' design the Ike needs to fit more snugly so I haven't bid and I'm in the process of buying a 44" Vanson Comet instead. I'm still waiting to find a 44" Ike to feed my addiction.:)

I actually had it as a 42 tapered to a 40 at the waist, which helps a lot. I have more issues with the upper chest and shoulder area feeling like its "floating" around unless I'm wearing layers. Perhaps with time and draping this will feel more fitted. As this is my first heavy hide jacket, there is a learning curve unfortunately. Perhaps a half belt will suit me better.....(hopefully without a learning curve!)
