I am considering ordering an Aero half-belt for casual wear but also would like to wear it while motorcycle riding. Has anyone had a problem with the collar flipping up when riding? I know I could order it with a snap collar, but would prefer not to if the collar tips will stay flat on their own. Many thanks for your help.

I've never had a leather jacket collar slap me in the face(maybe others have)...although shirt collars..or denim jacket collars sure can. Usually leather is just too heavy to really flap around to that extent..in my view. I do ride hard most often at interstate or beyond speed(since 1964). I wouldn't be concerned with a snap collar..especially on an Aero. Incorporating a bi-swing back would be my main concern.

I've had the same experience as HD. Never had a leather collar flap in the breeze. The Aero leather is so stiff, I can't imagine there being a problem with their collars.
I've got a double-breasted Cossack that has been used as a motorcycle jacket.
I added snaps to the collar, but they don't close when the jacket is fully buttoned. I've not had problems with the collar flapping when they're not snapped.
If I was doing it again then I'd be tempted to go for a G-1 style collar with the throat latch. I'm not sure whether I'd go with the fur or not. I'd also use a zip instead of buttons, as these are more likely to burst in an accident.
See if they could incorporate armour in the elbows, shoulders and back. Then get a set of something like the Forcefield soft armour to go in there.
The other thing to ask Aero is what sort of stitching they use. You want double or triple rows, ideally with hidden stitches. This means that they don't burst when you slide down the road.
Nylon zips are recommended. Not sure why.
Edited to add: I forgot to suggest getting a windflap over the zip. Otherwise you might get a cold spot.
