Do Aero's own branded zippers exist or is it just a myth ? I have heard a few people mention them but never seen any pics of it. Could anyone shed any light on it ?

Pics of Aero Branded zippers would be greatly appreciated !

thanks

I checked my mid-80s Aero A-2, but it's an American-made Talon zipper. It does have Aero printed on the puller, though.

Is this what you are talking about? This is the zip on my Cafe Racer ordered in 2012, no longer available. Its larger than the zip they typically use now and its also double ended. I love it, tbh I prefer it to the zips they use now, this thing is very easy to hook and feels like its going to outlast the leather....

that's the zipper I want !! I have requested it on my recent order but not sure if it'll go through .... I really hate their standard #5 Talon zips...I need something like that which is a bit heavy duty and easy to zip up.

Is that an Iron Heart / Aero jacket by any chance? If so, it was under the old regime, so I think it's unlikely to happen now.

If I remember correctly the "Big A" Aero zippers were actually made by the Aero Knitting Needle Company .... I had them on my "lost" Brown Highwayman. It was a muckle beast ( the zipper and the jacket). Not sure who made the 2 way one above .... but I like it.

The YKK zippers branded "Aero" were decent zippers ... I've still got a few jackets with them ( my Black Highwayman, my MWHH Long Halfbelt and my 1950's Halfbelt)

They look like this ..

and so far ( touch wood ) they've all been OK .... bit small though, although marginally better than the No.6 Talons which are a PITA with gloves on :(

No, it was a jacket purchased directly from Aero. I've been told on trying to get it on a newer jacket that they aren't available anymore. It a shame because imo its better than the talons they are currently using.

Yep, that's the one I had on my MC jacket. Good zipper and I didn't find it to be as fussy as Talon. Had YKK stamped on the inside of the slider.

I think Aero stamped zips were made by a company that had the same name but no relation to the Aero leathers . They also made knitting needles.
I have an Eastman B3 from 1985 with a talon puller on an Aero track.
The company is long gone.

My FQHH Cafe Racer has the Aero branded zip, it has been going strong for a few years and I've not heard of problems with them.

The Iron Heart / Aero collab zip looked like this, not the big 'A':
