I think @ButteMT61 is referring to the buttonhole stitching....
If you decide to keep it, I'd consider some HWT! It looks pretty "boxy" at the moment. Pull in those straps and take some more photos.

At least one size larger maybe two sizes... Too bagy and you can layer another fqhh bootlegger under it. If I were you I would trade it in against a smaller size bootlegger.

Size down, feel like a sausage. The older I get, the less I prefer slim or even what is deemed a “correct” fit. A little bit of room as in OP’s pics makes for a comfortable, functional jacket. I much prefer these more liberal fits than “perfect”. Much more liberating.

I believe people here exaggerate a lot when it comes to feeling like a sausage...

LOL - wife and I are "cleansing" to get back on track and I know I need to drop 25-30. Put on the Ventura last night as I wore the Aero the night before. I was totally sausage. Yep, my lovely GW no longer would zip unless I did some gymnastics. I was totally embarrassed and pissed at myself. It's motivating, but really bummed me out.

It's that time of year...I spent the last two weeks guzzling down porters and stouts like I was going to the chair...I think each beer was about the equivalent of eating 3 loafs of bread....so on any given night I likely consumed 18 loaves of bread...before dinner.

Ha! That can happen, I'm doing the opposite actually. I lost around 6Kg since I bought my Aero 50s half belt on 2016 Aero's sale and now I swim on it in the waist area, literally, not a problem if I wear it open though...

My downfall is always eggnog and eggnog lattés. Then there's the food, but I'm not bad any more with that. Literally all about the eggs. I am the egg man. Goo goo g'joob

I'll be contrary here and say I think it's too large. Also, what is with that third pic? It looks like the leather is cracked? I can't tell what I'm looking at, but if your intent is to not layer most of the time, I think it's large on you.
Nice jacket, but I'm just being honest. I know that if I have any doubts, they will come after the honeymoon and I will end up flipping it...

Agreed. Seems at least one size too large from here to me. Especially the picture of the back. I thought the picture with the cracks was a vintage jacket at first. I have a looser-fitting jacket I use for riding, because it has armor and extra-long sleeves for ape-hangers, etc. (the jacket I'm wearing in my avatard picture) I thought it was huge when I first got it, but it's super comfortable and perfect on the bike. I think yours is even one step larger than my riding jacket (Indian Liberty HorseHide size MEDIUM).
