Vicenza's pretty great. Honestly out of the samples I got the only one I didn't like was CXLHH, too stiff for my liking.
A matter of taste, but that's how I see it. I think Vicenza is the best in terms of feel, followed by CXSH, Badalassi and unfinished HH. Unfortunately, I don't know any other leathers from Aero.

Of course, I can see why someone would appreciate the armor-like qualities of the stiffer leathers. I haven't had a chance to make a purchase, but personally I quite enjoyed goatskin's softness and scuff resistance from playing with the samples. I know it's not the most popular choice though.

I'm not so sure about that. I think there are quite a few people who prefer the softer leather rather than the Roman leather armour.
I like something in the middle. Nothing too soft and flabby, but not too hard either. If soft, then the leather has to be thick. Vicenza is a good compromise for me. Not too thick, not too flabby, comfortable to wear.
My first FQHH was cool, but it was actually too stiff for a long time. But I'm learning ;-)
Incidentally, CXSH (at least the ones I have) are much softer than CXFQHH

^^ Preceisely why my Ridley was made in Steerhide, I don't think I could wear it otherwise...
It is quite slim-fitting, for sure.

After a six month wait my jacket finally arrived. I went with black Vicenza. I couldn’t be happier. I asked for the thickest hide available so this may not be an accurate representation of Vicenza. It’s kind of hard to explain, but the Hyde has a stiffness and softness at the same time. It is allowed it to mold to my body really nicely and really quickly. This jacket was made by Moira and I must say the stitching is really well done and really clean. I am normally a 40 chest but went with a 42 and I must say I am blown away at the shoulder mobility I have in this jacket, even without gussets. When the jacket initially arrived, I wasn’t stoked about the smell of it. It seemed to have a mild chemical smell, however that seems to have faded, and it is starting to smell more like leather. This pattern works really well for my body so now I need an aero seven! thanks to everyone on this thread who helped me build the perfect jacket for me.

Perfect fit. You did the right thing opting for vicenza over CXL.

Now you just need to wear a shorter t shirt underneath haha
