Aero Birds of prey

It is and it is not Levis. The cut and the maker (Aero) is the same as the original Bird of prey Levis jacket were. But this one is Aeros independent jacket, so no Levis involved. I think Aero has a deal with Levis that after they have sold all the originals, then Aero can make the jacket as their own. So they basically have the rights to that pattern now.

So all and all this is Aero jacket with Levis pattern, with Aeros labels and no Levis mentioned anywhere.

Ps. This was their test jacket of that old pattern, they choose to remake after many years.
I mean jeans..

Here's a quick pic to show the curving zipper.

Looks great.

Also as a side note the way the main zip curves at the chest (more noticeable when fully closed) is something different compared to Aeros other cross zips.

I came across the brochure listing for the Levis Birds of Prey version the other day and it was originally sold in the womens LVC line. I wonder if thats something to do with this detail.

yes. I saw someone on another fourum say that the LVC jacket had a lot of taper to the waist and came up small and this was why. I don't know if that was just the Levis version, I guess Aero would know more as to wether it was planed as that or just sold as it?

Maybe the painted model was aimed to women, and the distressed to men or maybe they were for both men and women.

Yes, think thats right. The 'Rough and Ready' jacket came out the next year I think and was certainly in the mens line.

I am about to receive the distressed version and it does taper quite a bit from the measurements given to me (shoulder 17.5", 20" chest, 18" waist, 17.5" ish hip) so I'm hoping it's not too tight on the hem on me

Really big fan of your photos and especially of your engineer boots with that locomotive. Been trying to find places to take photos with a locomotive while wearing engineer boots, as that was the intended applicaiton for that specific style of boot.

That jacket looks really neat and well crafted, It fits you very well. For myself, I am not a curved zipper fan. But it's all to each thier own preferances. I do like to neat, trim and simple back design.

Thanks @AeroFan_07 , that abandoned locomotive was a lucky find, didn't even know it existed.
