Windstorm, don't forget that you can ask for swatches from Aero. I'm sure they'd be happy to oblige. I think you'll get more from those and gain a more visceral and tactile appreciation/sense for your comparison than just a 2-D image that can vary greatly depending on light and the camera used.

I wish Aero made a long, knee length coat. I think it would be perfect with this leather.

hehe, imagine a knee-long coat made of FQHH! I proudly own an amazing thigh-long Mariner and it weights a ton! But I agree, a long coat made of battered tan would definitely look nice.

I really love the character of this hide. It is a little light in colour for my liking, but I can certainly appreciate it for what it is.

I never really liked it initially. Since then, I have seen Worfs awesome jacket and a couple of others. It's really grown on me now, and I really do like it.

It would be heavy, though this is a mid-weight leather, not heavy FQHH. I think the battered seal would be just as nice.

Have you ever posted pics of your Mariner? A separate thread on the Mariner would be nice as I see so few pictures of it.

Hi Kronos, yes I know battered tan is mid weight, but when I read your post I really wondered how heavy a really long jacket in FQHH would be!
I haven't uploaded any photos of the Mariner. Indeed I find it a pity that there are almost no photos of it around. I would do it in the following days and PM you when it is done. It is an excellent jacket, believe me!
