Aero back length measurements?

I feel the exact same way about my Highwayman that I got from TB! I feel the back is shorter than I requested, and I thought it was my fault for not measuring right... reading this thread makes me realize I'm not alone haha. The only thing that made me feel bit better about it was reading the threads here about a lot of people actually prefer their jackets to be pretty short, and then losing some weight, which made the jacket proportions fit a bit better overall. But any t-shirt untucked or button down untucked looks really sloppy b/c it hangs out so low under the bottom of the jacket and it makes me switch to a longer jacket, which is a bit of a shame... Hoping this is not a problem for the BR I just ordered.

This takes us back full circle, of course, to vintage style jackets being designed in the days when nobody wore their shirt hanging out...

That’s why I ordered my HWM with slightly extended back length.

Long T-Shirts still hang out a bit.

Pullovers in XXL at standard length don’t.

funny enough, I went through this last night with Carrie. Got a new stock jacket and felt a tad small. First thing I did was measure and I was coming up .25 to .5 short on the ptp and shoulder of what they said. She quickly replied and said they basically pull the leather tight and measure. So it makes sense and probably will be the eventual measurement once you get some natural break in.

But I agree, knowing what I know now, I'd probably add another .5 inch to the back length if I were to ever do a custom fit.

I didn’t buy online but through a retailer, testing several widths, back lengths and sleeve lengths, linings...prior to ordering.

Lead time is the same anyway, custom built or serial, if the serial jacket isn’t in stock.

I asked myself the same question about Aero's ptp measurements. This boardracer was listed on their sales page as ptp 22.5 View attachment 263365 Same on the tag

Actual measurements :

I honestly don't know how it's possible to be off by 1.25 inch.

I've sent them an email with the photos of the actual measurements attached. Their response : you can return it to us for a refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.

Moreover, the front panels didn't line up. View attachment 263371

To me such an issue is not ok for a £600 pound jacket. I mentioned it in my mail to Aero and included the photo above. In their reply they didn't give any reaction on any of the issues. I was welcome to send the jacket back you them, pay for shipping myself.

This was my first and only experience with Aero. A bit disappointing to be honest. Not because of the issues but because of their reaction.
That's pretty bad of them to just brush you off like that. I would try to reach someone who has some actual responsibility over there. You can also post or send something to their Instagram or Facebook page to try to get someone else involved. I doubt they want to pay with a negative review on their page just for the cost of shipping.

Wasn't worth the trouble. It was a jacket from their sales pages. I got refunded. Only had the pay for postage back and forth.

If I remember correctly I requested a 24" back on my slim halfbelt. It measures 23.25" which actually is probably better than a true 24". My sleeves however measure exactly what I requested at 24.5"
