If they're an overrun on a Japanese order, I'd expect 38s. From what I can make out, 36/38 in Japan is as 42/44 here in the UK.

Yes, and anyone who thinks such a huge A-2 order would come from anywhere else is kidding himself.

There's a selvedge group here ?!?! I would LOVE to know more about them - I just want one pair of great jeans and would love to know more - designs, how to account for shrinkage and washing etc.

Just don't expect to pick up many (or any) used. I lucked onto one guy a few years ago who sold me several pair of LVCs. There has been next to nothing for sale since.

The 38-1711-P is the slimmest style that Aero do (AFAIK)

New just in from Ken: Hi Simon, all the jackets in this £360 offer are Aero Beacon NY contract repros. The jackets in question were not returns, they were excess to the order and never left the factory, some are still not quite finished, studs to fit, neck hooks to fit etc. The surplus jackets (now down to around 35) were overmakes, ones with the wrong combo of hide and knit colour for the (rather complicated) order etc plus a couple rejected by our QC as not 100% perfect. Your info re the destination of the order is wrong, this order was not made for Japan, the order (now completed) was from Russia so there are all sizes available from 34 to 50. Thanks Ken.
