Very cool! I have had the same experience back in 1988-1989 when I was stationed in the Sinai with the Multinational Force & Observers (MFO). Diving in the Gulf of Aqaba is a great memory.

I love the keys. Relaxed, easy-going, and unpretentious. There was a time in my life when I had actual dreams (in my sleep) about returning to the keys. That top shot about sums it up.

One of my fellow Fedora Lounge members who knew I loved history and often hiked along trails originally put in by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) back in the 1930s, gave me this CCC commemorate hiking staff medallion. Today was the first chance I got to use my hiking stick since I put the medallion on. As I walked along with that hiking stick with its new medallion, I thought about all the conservation work done by the CCC all those years ago and that people are still enjoying the trails and facilities put in by the hard work of the CCC.
