Thanks - these are exactly why I went with the Stetsonian now. Likely the last decent Stetson that I would be happy to wear.

Well, it is here and I like it.

Plus:
Light, soft to the touch, but a bit rigid. Color and proportions are quite pleasing. Stitching and pressing are good. Hatband, sweatband and liner are all good.

Minus:
Seems a bit larger than my normal size 58. Do these run a bit large? Will it shrink a bit (like Akubras) with wearing?

the Stesonian is a fine hat but "light" is definitely not a word I would use in its description

Mine was pretty big when I got it, but after a few weeks of wear, it tightened up and I'm very happy with it.

Also, as Moon stated yes, I would say this is one of my heaviest hats. Very thick, dense felt. Perhaps a reflection of the color, but my Light Gray is soft and luxurious in the hand.

Headshots, please!

Funny how no one talked a real lot abt the Stetsonian while it was in current production...
It does seem to be a great hat. We have more or less been a "thin ribbon" fan so the Stetsonian was not looked at much on our end. But we have wondered what it would look like with a thin ribbon on it instead of a wide ribbon.

I can also see a Premier Stetson Stratoliner coming into our home in the near future.

A few of us did.....it is really a nice hat for current production. But, a thing (anything) is never really desired until it is made to be scarce or hard to get.....human nature......
Cheers,
M
PS: I must say this is the closest to a decent whippet style hat that I can get that will fit my pumpkin!
