Puting wear/patina on a jacket...and patches...and artwork...
Prepare a mixture of tooth past (80%) body Lotion (15%) and a glims of brown shoe cream/wax (5%)...
Mix it and rub it where you want your patina...the tooth past wears it...the body lotion geases it...the brown shoe cream dyes/ages it like worn/old for years....The body lotion should dilute it all and allow a perfect mixing
Good luck!

My mixture of spilt beer, midnight oil and elbow grease, plus a dash of blood sweat and tears applied over a 30 year period sure can't be beat :)

What a fresh idea! I always wondered where the term minty came from LMAO! ;)

I like what you're doing with your jackets!
When I buy a leather jacket, it's for keeps.
I usually "massage" it until I happy with it.
Sometimes I'll use the techniques you've mentioned. Other times, like Earhart, I'll
wear it to sleep in, drape it on the back of chair or motorcycling 24/7.

Not everybody is keen on "adding patina".
We all do it....whether instantly or over a period of years.
But if you own several...well....sometimes you gotta do what ever it takes! ;)

Supposedly Amelia Earhart went to some trouble to take the newness out of her flying clothing.

In my youth, I'd jump into the ocean wearing my brand new stiff 501s and
wear them all day as they molded and faded to my taste.

I still buy them minus the salt-water treatment.
I just soak them in the tub and throw them out the backyard. ;)
