I’m a growing fan of Adam hats because of unique, shining examples like this one.
Great hats.
I sold one last week in Majestic quality—size 7 1/8. Coulda been a little brother to this one. On its way to Austria. lucky fellow. Wish it had fit me or it wouldn’t be headed his way. Pun intended.
The ribbon Treatment, though close, was only just a bit different.

This just arrived. New sweat, but I’m a fan. It’s a Adam Fenmore in 7 1/4.

This one came in last week, and as you can see, it's an unruly beast. I opened the box and this jumped out, bit me on the thumb, then tore off through the house with the dog in hot pursuit.

I didn't know whether to steam and brush it or call a groomer, maybe invest in some Jeri-curl.

After wrasslin' it to the ground, I steamed and brushed it, treated the very supple sweatband, and got the liner straightened out, as some stitches came free and it needed to be stopped from floating about.

The result is a mid-40s Adam "Vicorona."

6" OC,
3" brim w/ overwelt.
1 3/4" gilled ribbon w/ fixed wind trolley,
A $10 hat originally.

Now that's the type of corona I wouldn't mind catching. Great get, Jim, and at a helluva price! Hard to believe that was still available at 2 a.m.

Adam Executive Mr. Main Street.
2 5/8” brim (my new favorite width)
4 3/4” crown in front, 4 1/4” in back (as creased)
1” pleated ribbon with matching 1/2” brim binding

The sweatband is like glove leather. The brim is soft but holds its shape. I can see why it was called “Mr. Main Street;” if a man could afford only one hat, this one would fit the bill. It is an instant favorite.

@DaveProc the markings are almost identical to your Runabout. Do you know approximately what time period these hats are from? My Adam dating skills are limited.

Somewhere back in this thread is a reference for the liner tip logos. I think that one may be estimated in the '40s, but you'd have to look back to make sure.
