Thanks Moon... Harv..... Fruno. I appreciate the comments.
This Adam thread is chock full of good info. I think I narrowed the date of my hat down to 1953.

I would like to add my vtg. Adam Majestic Quality Baronet to the dynamite hats on this thread. The label has a price of $6.00. Oh yes, it is a terrific GREEN felt!

Green felt with different ribbon work. The Adams hats have excellent felt pouncing. They may have not chosen to market incredibly soft pliable felt in this hat, but it is quality.

The decorative button on the ribbon work draws my eye. I like the subtle swoop of the ribbon. The sewing of the ribbon is well done and shows no wear almost 70 years later. The Adams "Eva-shape Process" stamp on the leather band recognizes that the hat crease is perfect from it's crease birth moment. I have brought the hat to open crown and them creased it to have it "automatically" spring to the Eva-shape.

The inside of the hat shows a thin, but quality leather band. This hat is "minty" and shows no discoloration marks on the liner. The folds and construction of the liner is dynamite.

It will get frequently wear. My concern will be not to wear it to an early demise. Thanks for looking at my addition to this excellent thread.

Best, Eric -

This is "The Polar" by Adam that I just acquired.

I'm having a difficult time capturing the color of the felt. The first shot is the most accurate. It captures the green. Depending on lighting, the hat can appear khakier.

I tried to find ads for it on the internets to try to nail down its age. No luck. Although, it looks like Adam was selling "hats of the month" during the forties and early fifties. Those that I have seen were all named "The 'something'" I can see this being offered as a late fall or winter Hat of the Month. Likewise, the material and labels lead my gut to think that this is from that period. Anyone have any ideas?

I Had Bond put a new ribbon on it. The original, wide one was a mess.

Groovy, fuzzy hat with nice thick felt and what I think is a nifty brim treatment.
