AAF Decal for Jackets

What is the story on the decals seen on some Flight Jackets ? Were they issued already on the Jacket ? I have an A-11 Flight helmet that has a small one applied. Can one find repro's ?

You can find repros and you can find people who duplicate some of the old jacket art. A good place to start is the WWII forum on the lounge.

From 1943 this was standard issue on all AAF gear. Left shoulder 1 inch from
the seam. The owner could add an numbered AAF patch on his right shoulder.
