Just had my Brill G-1 jacket repaired (cuffs, waistband, and new mouton collar) done by U.S. Authentic. Quick turn around but a littly pricey but then you get what you pay for.....QUALITY.
I have had a hiatus off of jackets for a while, but Eastman used to repair/restore jackets and the work was first rate. One thing that I was thoroughly impressed by was the matching of missing leather pieces.
One of the jackets that I saw that Eastman restored was an A-2 Roughwear shell that was literally purchased off the back of some "child of the night" in Seattle. ALL of the cloth items were gone and the two leather strips on the lower most front portion of the jacket (the ones where the zipper and waist band attach) had been removed at some point. Gary matched the worn leather almost exactly.
I woud not have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself.
