A2 collar question

I have the exact same thing on my Aero 47-3785-P, at first i thought no way am i paying for a fault.
Then i had a good look and it is only really noticeable if the snap's are done up, and i never have them
done up anyway. Then i thought if i was a rookie pilot and pointed this out to a QM, i think i know
what he would say SHUT THE **** UP AND PUT IT ON. So to me it is just character.
And besides those guy paid with a lot more than money. I love my A2 and wear it almost every day.

Its interesting. I have owned an Aero Bronco back in 2005 and more recently a 15142 (which was a superb jacket). Neither of those jackets had any 'faults'. The collars, pockets, everything was symmetrical.
There is an issue here. I wonder how this passes quality control.
IMO You can't sell a premium jacket with these 'faults', even if its ok for some customers.
This is possibly something you may expect from an apprentice jacket on the SALE page, and stated as such.
I would kindly ask these manufacturers, on behalf of all jacket enthusiasts and customers, to please check this issue.
Keep the well earned reputation for quality, value and attention to detail as high as we have come to expect it to be.

For me, the best stitching (and highest quality of workmanship) was Lost Worlds. I've owned 5 of their jackets (as well as jackets by GW, ELC, Aero, etc) and all my LW jackets have been perfect. I'm not saying they are the best or most accurate, just speaking to the quality and attention to detail that I've seen. Nothing about their jackets that one has to learn to live with or accept as a reproduced mistake from some original example.
Just my 2 cents gentlemen.

Ditto, if you were trying to get an exact replica of a spcific jacket that had this production defect then fine, but on a standard production jacket.....it should never have made it through qc!

Yes, even if it's not a MAJOR defect I'd reduce the jacket to the faulty collar and would'nt wear it :-/

I just got a nice email from Denny Calder, They'll rework my jacket or make a new one, depending on the repairability, all in a guaranteed timeframe of only seven days. sounds good!

Everything man makes is made to a tolerance. With jackets it's typically +/- 1/4" in visible areas.
+/- 1/2 in overall dimensions. This G-1 7823E specification pdf is worth reading:

In wartime this goes out the window, but if I was paying I would reject a collar like that.
