Believe that how it looks from the original A1. Other than that, what do you think? The leather is really soft.

It depends on whether you are looking for a "vintage" fit or a modern one.

This is the kind of fit I would look for in an A1. At least a size smaller than the one you have.

The pockets look much smaller, too, and the waistband has buttons, rather than snaps.

If you are happy with the jacket, that is what matters.

I love the jacket, Don't wear it in the rain, unless you don't mind the dyes coming off. I know everyone uses the word patina and that is fine over the course of Decades, but not one season. That's why I switched from lambskin to horsehide.

As above, it looks good, but looking at the top half it looks like you could go down a size and still have some room to move. Difficult to tell for sure from a single photo though.

Again agree with whats said above, it does also depend on the kind of fit you like and are looking for.

Hello Phillyboy, and welcome!

I think this is a good example of how the sleeves can make the difference about the outside look of the fit, even if the jacket is your true size.

About the body Id say you can wear this size or one less, but this one doesn't look bad at all. The length of the jacket is good and it doesn't look too baggy (despite the shoulder seam looks like an inch far of its place), at least in this frontal picture. But the sleeves... thats another story.

If the sleeves were an inch shorter and a bit trimmer the visual effect would be completely different. I think those sleeves are a bit bigger than they should be. But as people are saying, it all depends about the style youre looking for!

Congrats on your jacket anyway, it is an amazing piece!

Top half and sleeves are too big. The seem sits off your shoulder too far and will get worse as the jacket gives. The sleeves are too wide and should taper towards the wrist more.

Yakima, some A-1's had buttons and some had snaps so nothing wrong there.

What kind of layering are you planning to wear it with? With thick layering maybe the arms and body will look better, I doubt about the shoulders though, they look a couple of inches too big too me.

I just checked and you are right, it is goatskin. I plan to wear a shirt and sweater underneath so it should fill the space. Thanks.

Agree, i will apply Pecard on it before wearing it for the winter. I also not into breaking the jacket in before it should.

The pockets look taller than on the example on the Aero website-probably the camera angle

Apologies-The pockets look bigger on the seal jerky example than on the russet vicenza example
