Hello, thought I'd share this recipe for a Wartime Economy Christmas Pudding with you.
This is from the December 1939 edition of 'Womans Illustrated' (no longer published) Of course it was our first Christmas at war and the magazine is full of ideas for a thrifty Christmas!

Normally our dinning room is our childrens play room, but for Christmas it becomes a dinning room again.

Thus we have to do mass entertaining when we can. As the rumour is turkeys will cost £100 this year we thought we would try mock duck for one group of friends and mock goose for another group of chums.

I'll let you know how we get on.
