On my days when I'm off from work I try to find things to occupy my time, I sometimes like to make movies (nothing great just small compilations of things) I took a bunch of various photos of the 8th Air Force, mostly bomber crews and some ground crews (just for you Scott!) and made a tribute to the 8th Air Force, I wish I could have added in some more fighter pilot shots (I think there is only one in the video), maybe I'll make one just for the fighter component of the 8th Air Force before too long.

But I posted the video on youtube and I thought I'd share it for you all to enjoy.

I can definitely do the AC/DC "shot down in flames" video, I can even add an original photo in my collection of an me-109 going down.

And I thank you all for the comments, and yes Scott the ground crew photos are really for the wrench turners of the 8th but it's just as much for the guys who represent them today like you!

Excellent video! One of the WW2 vets who would come to many events with our WW2 re-enactment unit was with the 8th Air Force as a B-17 & B-24 tail gunner. He was there during the Regensburg and Schweinfurt raids, before they had long range fighter cover. He lost a lot of friends, as many of them did. His favorite saying was that he wasn't sure if he shot down any German fighters or not, but at least they never got him! He passed away this June. He was an amazing guy, and that was sure an amazing generation. Nice tribute to them in your video.
