So this has been a thread logn time coming for more than one reason. So first off a little while back I had a customer that came in to my store from out of town that was reffered to us by Duane of the Fedorastore.com. I just thought that it was cool that he referred them to us because they wanted to go to a hat store and try stuff on instead of just trying to sell them on one of his. You don't see to much of that kind of courtesy in business much anymore and I felt it was worth mentioning on here.

Secondly, Andykev mentioned to me a while back that people might be interested in seeing pictures of our store here in tomorrow so I thought I would put some up. They are a little old but you get the idea. I was going to take new ones but we have recieved probably close to 10000 hats in the last 5 - 6 weeks so that store is a little bit of a mess. The only difference is new display and A LOT more hats . . . .enjoy.

Hat store purchase

As many people out in the FL know , there are many hat websites today . It can be a lot of fun to find a hat or cap that you may like . Nothing however is better than finding a good hat store like Hat Plus (or Bencraft Hats !) and actualy trying on as many hats as you want . Hats are a tricky tem to buy on line and when we have a customer who comes into one of our stores after printing out an item that he or she found from out site or catalog , their eyes light up. It's like a littke kid in a candy store . They usualy will walk out with more than what they came in looking for .

THank you for all of the kind words folks. I have to say that Steven is right on the money. It is not only pleasurable and exciting for the person that comes in looking for that hat but it is as well for the people supplying it. I know that I, and I am sure Steven can agree, that there is nothing better in the hat buisness then when you see the right hat on the right persons head. Whenever a guy comes in with a suit or a coat or something like that to match and we find him that hat that just fits it always brings a smile to my face. So when you find a good hat store like Bencraft (or Hats Plus ) its like a second home for some people and its just a great place to be.

So out of embarrasment for the way my store looked in previous pictures when I saw Arrons shop I spent the last two days straightening up. Plus the store looks a lot different now because we are just about displayed for winter minus a few late comers that are on their way. We have been doing a lot of display change so I hope you guys like it.

This is the register (aka my office) and where we keep a majority of our kangols.

The cases to the left and back are where we display most of our fur felt hats. On the right you have crushables up front and then the back is all old fur felt stuff that we mark down cause a lack of stock and display room.

Jeremy , those pics are great . You have a nice store . If I had open stock like that , it would be all over the place . Ask your father when he came to our store in Boro Park what are our customers are like . Each person has to see five of everything . We spend a half hour each night putting hats back in the showcases and boxes.

Aaron we have about 3600 square feet of retail space, and then the basement is of about equal size which we use for storage of summer merchandise and other stock. We actually switch over the whole store twice a year with the exception of the glass cases. It is not nearly enough space to properly display everything that we carry properly.

Steven I know all about your customers we get the same ones here too just not in the mass quantities as I hear you do. Let me guess they all want to see black borsalinos and all five are pretty much the same thing but none are what they want. Ah the pleasures of retail . . . .

I have enough crazy customers for one day . I'd love to sell more gray, blue and brown hats but they wont buy them anymore. So we have to stick with black , black and more black.

I went to your web site for the first time a few minutes ago, looks like a great selection and very reasonably priced, stored it on my favorites list for the future when my wife isn't about . The store also looks great, oh the money I could spend in there .
