Two A-1 jackets. "Used", but these both were very pristine.

Same seller. Closing within 15 minutes of each other.

The Aero: $510.
The RMC: $1345.

I've never seen a Real McCoy's in person, so I don't know how much better it is than an Aero, but I think given the choice between one used RMC and 2.3 used Aero jackets, I'd probably take the Aero 9/10 of the time.

Maybe not, though.

Yeah that was kinda rough and tumble.
The tale of the other Two A-1s was interesting as well.

One second is a long time on ebay.

That seller had a whole host of nice jackets ending at the same time. Auctions always are suspect. Pure and simple. It's buy it now or no thanks for me personally. Believe it or not, there are actually dishonest people on eBay. What a world.

I'm certainly not going to complain about your not competing with me on auctions, Ton :)

I never do it anymore tho. As seller or buyer. That system is rife with fraud. Been burned on both sides more times than I care to count!

I can count on one hand the number of problems I've had in 20 years, and I prevailed in every case, thankfully. It is stressful when a deal goes bad though, for sure.

Yeah me too. Seems auctions lend themselves to it more tho. The buyers seem less invested. Bid drunk today, retract tomorrow...eBay is such a mess anyway. It's primarily for buyers with pinpoint precision and sellers who can take a hit or a win and it doesn't really matter much either way. I suppose it's just a necessary evil.

As i'm sure some already noticed, he put up 3 more large sized Good Wear A-2s. Love to know the inside story on this seller, the show goes on.

If I ever had a crack at one of those, and it was a jacket I really wanted, I’d just bid like $300 higher than the highest bidder. If not, you are stuck in a war with like 5 people in the last 30 seconds.

I had business with this dealer, I bought buzz rickson a2 ( Sloan asked Ken about this jacket, and Ken was surprised how rough this jacket looks, as I recalled) and suspect it's a counterfeit, had trouble return it and got ebay involved, I don't recommend this seller.

I've purchased two jackets from this seller. No doubt about the authenticity of the jackets One was a Buzz Rickson, one a RMC. He has rolled out a lot of high end leathers typically in a size 44. Japanese jackets are more difficult to find in size 44. I should have bought a couple of more.

I'm fine with folks having bad opinions on ebay and not bidding, but there is nothing sinister about this seller. Be happy, look what he just offered for sale! When you sell that many high $ jackets at the same time your are competing with yourself. Makes for some very good buys on jackets that are hard to find.

It depends what you’re looking for really. Given the choice between those two A-1 jackets, for accuracy to original design, I’d take the RMc over the Aero 10/10 of the time.

Looks to me like he sells pretty cool jackets in hard to find sizes. I’m still having fun!

I had a couple of cheeky bids on one of the Goodwears, couldn't resist, soundly beaten though.
Edit
Thinking about it, I don't think I've ever won anything in an auction, not sure why I bother. Lol

At 2.3x the price, though? I guess there's people for whom the accuracy matters that much, but from a general quality standpoint is there really that much separating the two makers? I get that RMC is a lot more expensive to begin with, and there's a lot fewer of them around. Is that all there is to it?

I'm skeptical, but curious to hear opinions of people who have handled/owned both.
