To take this farther off-topic I've read some Executioners (I still own the War Book and New War Book for reference) but mostly read The Destroyer. Now I recommend the Spider stories to you. Great 1930s grand guignol fun.
I also like "O Lupine Boardmate". That is great.

To get back to Cap, I felt sorry for the artists after the top of his shirt became scale mail instead of chainmail. Then again it didn't seem to help him much.

Where am I going to find reprints of the Spider? Sounds like the attitude of a hero I like.
I am with Diamondback about The Punisher though. He's the "wipe 'em out and let God sort them out" kind of hero.

Thanks to the way the brain-trusts at Marvel wrote the recent "Civil War" arc, Punisher's as good a moral compass as anybody in Marvel Universe. Didja see the issue where he helped Daredevil get back to hero-ing? D'awww. That was the cutest storyline featuring neck-snapping and prison breakouts ever! lol
