A real celebrity

I have just had the amazing experience of spending 4 hours sitting next to Dame Helen Mirren on a cheap flight from Italy. What a lady! Elegant, beautiful, reserved, graceful and quietly charismatic. As a long-term devotee of hers, superlatives fail me entirely.

Respecting her privacy and the fact that she was studying a script, I made sparing conversation and I will not reveal its content, but I can say that her next possible project involves the life of a famous English film director.

Life is wonderful...

Wow, one of my favorite actresses. Good for you that you showed such restraint and respect for her space. Famous people really do appreciate that.

I once worked in the publicty department of a major publishing house and interacted with a number of well-known authors. I was chosen to be in that department because I was not "snowed" by someone's celebrity --one has to be professional and helpful and talk to them as you would anyone else in the business, even if, deep inside, you really are snowed.
