A quote on hats

While finishing reading "Anansi Boys" from Neil Gaiman, I stumbled over this part here, where the dead fathers gives his son his own Fedora.
I really liked "all you need to wear a hat is attitude":

"All you need to wear a hat is attitude."

Although I would say proper attitude, rather than just attitude, the quote is right on. If you're confident while wearing your hat it shows and that attitude will make it look like you should have the hat on.

i like how the reflection is described as a different person. Is fat charlie a child? If so i really like it that the person looking up is a man. Nifty lil passage indeed.

Is it a good book throughout? I might get it.

Cheers,
Drew.

"Fat Charlie" is a grown-up man who starts to learn who he really is.
I can definiteley recommend Neil Gaiman, but he takes getting used to. Each of his books is a bizarre world of its own.
My favourite, and the first one I read from him, is "Neverwhere".

I've read a few of Gaiman's books. They 're all right if you can refrain from thinking about what you are reading. Sort of all style/no substance. If you like the quote, you might well like the books.
